Runaway (1996)

"Runaway" is a song released by Janet as the lead single off the Design of a Decade 1986/1996 compilation album. The song debuted at #6 in the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the highest debut for any Janet solo single since Janet's previous single "Scream" with brother Michael Jackson, debuted at #5 in the Hot 100. "Runaway" went on to peak at #3 in the United States, and has remained in Janet's set list in every tour since then.

The music video for this song was directed by Marcus Nispel, and features Janet leaving her apartment in New York City through her window, and travels to many places around the world like India, China, Africa, Brazil, Tuscany, Paris, Australia, Egypt, and many more.
