Janet Promises "All Nite" to Hidalgo


Janet Jackson’s number one hit “All Nite (Don’t Stop),” from the album “Damita Jo,” has been chosen as the song dedicated to the city of Hidalgo. Janet’s Number Ones Tour is her largest-ever world tour, celebrating 35 of her number ones hits, with a selected number one song dedicated by her to each of her fan-suggested stops.

“‘I am so excited to start the US leg of my Number Ones Up Close and Personal tour in Hidalgo, Texas, and to dedicate All Nite (Don't Stop)’ to my fans in this amazing city. I enjoyed my time in Hidalgo, and feel that this song is the perfect choice to represent the energy and pulse of the fans that joined me for this show.” said Janet.

The Hidalgo performance took place on March 3rd at the State Farm Arena.


"Love" Brings Janet to Taipei

Janet Jackson has chosen “Because of Love” as the song dedicated for the city of Taipei on her largest ever world tour celebrating 35 number ones hits. Janet has chosen to dedicate her hit song “Because of Love” from the hit album janet. to the fans and city of Taipei. Part of Janet’s "Janet Number Ones, Up Close and Personal" tour will be the dedication of a number one song to each city.

“‘Because of Love’ is the Number One I'm dedicating to Taipei. This is my first concert in Taipei. I'm so excited to get there. I dedicated this song to each of you and want you all to know I'm coming to Taipei because of love,” said Janet.

Janet dedicates ‘If’ to Hong Kong

Janet has chosen "If" as her song that she will dedicate to Hong Kong when she performs there on February 14th – Valentine’s Day.

In a message posted on her website, Janet said:

“I dedicate my number one ‘IF’ to my fans in Hong Kong. The beauty, mystery and love I find in Asia was all a part of ‘IF’, and now for Valentines Day, I’m bringing it all to you.”

The Number Ones tour will see a song dedicated to each of the 35 cities Janet performs in.

Janet dedicates "All Nite" to Hidalgo

Janet Jackson has chosen “All Nite (Don’t Stop)” as the song dedicated for the city of Jakarta on her largest ever world tour celebrating 35 number ones hits. Janet has chosen to dedicate her hit song “All Nite (Don’t Stop)” from the hit album Damita Jo to the fans and city of Jakarta. Part of Janet’s tour will be the dedication of a number one song to each city.

"‘All Nite (Don't Stop)’ is the Number One dedication for my fans in Jakarta because Indonesia is so magical and filled with pulse and energy. It was the perfect choice. We're going to celebrate and we're not going to stop. I can't wait to see you!” said Janet. The Jakarta performance will take place at the Plenary Hall Jakarta Convention Center on February 9th."

Janet Jackson has chosen “Someone to Call My Lover” as the song dedicated for the city of Singapore on her largest ever world tour celebrating 35 number ones hits. Janet has chosen to dedicate her hit song “Someone to Call My Lover” from the hit album All For You to the fans and city of Singapore.

“’Someone To Call My Lover’ is the Number One that we will celebrate and dedicate to my fans in Singapore. That song has a universal theme... it's about longing, belonging and being loved. I have long felt the love from my fans in Singapore and this is my chance to show my love and give it all back to you,” said Janet. The Singapore performance will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on February 7th.

“I dedicate ‘Go Deep’ to all my fans in Manila. It was a dream for me to start my Number Ones Up Close and Personal tour in your magical city and country. There is a truth in the Philippines that enchants people all over the world. I can’t wait to get there and be with you,” -Janet.

February 4, 2011 was the date to remember for all Janet fans as she returned to Manila to perform in the first show of her Number Ones: Up Close and Personal Tour. It was her first time since 1994's janet Tour and fans of the singer have already shown so much love from the moment Manila was announced as the first stop. Despite having expensive ticket ranges (the ticket prices ranged from Php 3,000 to a whopping Php 25,000) the show was sold out, according to several sources.

As soon as the concert started, fans were screaming at the top of their lungs, as they were greeted by a Janet video intro that included Janet talking about the tour (as seen in her official website) and the dedication of "Go Deep" to the city of Manila. The show was a little short than 2 hours, and the set list included most of her number one singles as well as "Nothing," the soundtrack theme to her recent movie, Why Did I Get Married Too?

Janet adds North American leg tour dates

Janet Jackson will be bringing her Number Ones, Up Close and Personal Tour to North America. The legendary Icon took the suggestions of her fans to heart and after her start in Asia she will be bringing the tour to the United States and Canada. Janet will be performing songs from her 35 number one hits in 35 global cities. Fans submitted suggestions to www.janetjackson.com to have their city selected.

Janet has expressed her gratitude and excitement for the upcoming shows in North America with the following statement:

"I thank my fans who have voted and helped me choose the cities we are announcing today. Each of you are so important to me. These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done. I will be as up close and personal as possible. These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years. I'll be singing and dancing from my heart. The music will all be songs that you've made number ones for me. Let's go!

In each city I want to meet 20 young leaders who are changing their communities for the better. Please contact janetjackson.com so that I will know who is making a major difference in your city. I’m asking my fans and their friends, Parents, relatives, neighbors and teachers to nominate five people to qualify as one of the 20 under 20 in each place I will perform. At each concert the 20 people chosen and the person who nominated them will be VIP guests at my show. I will invite the 20 sponsors and the 20 winners to the concert and backstage. There are many young people changing the world and I want them to be recognized during my tour. I want them to be my guest at my show and they will come backstage as I learn from them how young people are changing the world. You all know someone who is making a difference, so get in touch. Number Ones : Up Close and Personal Tour




Janet Jackson's tour Number Ones: Up Close and Personal tour celebrates Janet's 35 #1 singles in 35 cities around the world. It is Janet's largest world tour ever and will differ from her previous concert schedules in that she will perform music exclusively from her chart topping CD Number Ones. There will also be a focus on venues that will allow Janet to be up close and personal in a much more intimate setting. This show is Janet more revealed, more intimate, and more personal than ever before. Don't look for special effects. Just look at Janet.
