janet. Remixed (1995)

janet. Remixed is the second remix album from Janet released in 1995. The album contains remixes from songs off the janet. album, as well as two B-sides, "And On and On" and 70's Love Groove". The album was not given a commercial release in the United States, just like her previous remix album, Control: The Remixes.

Twenty Foreplay (1996)

"Twenty Foreplay" is the second and final single from Design of a Decade 1986/1996. The song was not released as a commercial single in the United States; however, it saw moderate success in the United Kingdom, peaking at #22. There are two edits of the main version of the song, one is the full length version that is six minutes long, while the international version is only five minutes long.

The Pleasure Principle (1987)

Janet's "The Pleasure Principle" is the sixth and final single from Control in the United States. Unlike the success of the first five singles from the album, the song peaked at #14 in the Billboard Hot 100. However, the song peaked at #1 in both the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play and and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. For the official single, Shep Pettibone remixes were commissioned for the release.

The music video was directed by Dominic Sena, and features Janet ina solo dance performance in a loft. It was nominated for Best Female Video and Best Choreography at the 1988 MTV Video Music Awards, winning the latter. In 2001, Mýa paid tribute to Janet in the first ever MTV Icon.

Don't Worry (2005)

"Don't Worry" is the second single from Chingy's album Powerballin'. The song features Janet's vocals in the chorus. An interpolation of "Just Me and You" by Tony! Toni! Toné! is used as the hook. There was no music video released for this single.

Design of a Decade 1986/1996 [International Edition] (1996)

Design of a Decade 1986/1996 is Janet's first greatest hits album. The international release includes two more tracks, "Whoops Now" and a remix version of "The Best Things in Life Are Free" with Luther Vandross. In this edition, many of the tracks are shortened, unlike the US standard edition which has the full lengths of the songs. The album peaked at #3 in the Billboard 200 and is certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA.

Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun) (1987)

"Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun)" is the seventh and last single from Janet's Control album. It was never released as an official single in the United States. The song peaked at #24 in the Irish Singles Chart and #59 in the United Kingdom Singles Chart. Interestingly, Janet performed this song live in the Rockwitchu Tour in 2008.

Dream Street (1984)

Dream Street is Janet Jackson's sophomore album, released in 1984, two years after her debut. As much as Joe Jackson, Janet's father, wanted it to be a commercial breakthrough, it did not meet his expectations. Dream Street peaked at #19 in the Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart and #103 in the Billboard 200, missing the Top 100 by a mere three spots. Just like Janet's self-titled debut release, Dream Street was not certified by the RIAA. To date, this is Janet's rarest release.

Let's Wait Awhile (1987)

"Let's Wait Awhile" is Janet's fifth single from Control, her breakthrough third album. Continuing the streak of her first four singles for the album, the song also entered the Top 5 in the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #2. The song peaked at #3 in the United Kingdom, becoming one of Janet's biggest hits there. The song was released in its remix version, which was used in the music video and is found in the Control: The Remixes album, as compared to the original version which was found in the Control album and in the Design of a Decade 1986/1996 compilation.

Runaway (1996)

"Runaway" is a song released by Janet as the lead single off the Design of a Decade 1986/1996 compilation album. The song debuted at #6 in the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the highest debut for any Janet solo single since Janet's previous single "Scream" with brother Michael Jackson, debuted at #5 in the Hot 100. "Runaway" went on to peak at #3 in the United States, and has remained in Janet's set list in every tour since then.

The music video for this song was directed by Marcus Nispel, and features Janet leaving her apartment in New York City through her window, and travels to many places around the world like India, China, Africa, Brazil, Tuscany, Paris, Australia, Egypt, and many more. Janet Jackson (1982)

The debut album entitled Janet Jackson was released in 1982 under A&M Records. Compared to Janet's studio albums after 1985, her first two albums were produced by her father, Joe Jackson. Only eight songs are found in this album, the fewest Janet has made for any studio album in her career. The album peaked at #6 in the Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart, and #63 in the Billboard 200. The album was not certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
