Janet Jackson (1982)

The debut album entitled Janet Jackson was released in 1982 under A&M Records. Compared to Janet's studio albums after 1985, her first two albums were produced by her father, Joe Jackson. Only eight songs are found in this album, the fewest Janet has made for any studio album in her career. The album peaked at #6 in the Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart, and #63 in the Billboard 200. The album was not certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
