Dream Street is Janet Jackson's sophomore album, released in 1984, two years after her debut. As much as Joe Jackson, Janet's father, wanted it to be a commercial breakthrough, it did not meet his expectations. Dream Street peaked at #19 in the Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart and #103 in the Billboard 200, missing the Top 100 by a mere three spots. Just like Janet's self-titled debut release, Dream Street was not certified by the RIAA. To date, this is Janet's rarest release.
